Mission: The Nebraska National Guard will provide Equal Opportunity for all of our military service members and civilian employees while they serve in our organization regardless of race, color, religion, sex, or national origin.

The EO Office helps our force learn and appreciate the cultural diversity of our service members. The EO Office assists commanders with creating an environment of inclusion where our service members and civilian employees feel valued and are able to take part in all of the opportunities our organization has to offer.
Our Goals
  • Create an environment free from discrimination and harassment. 
  • Create a positive climate of dignity and mutual human respect. 
  • Create culturally competent leaders and service members respectful of cultural differences.
  • Training on discrimination and sexual harassment prevention. 
  • Unit Climate Survey administration.
  • Educating service members of their rights regarding discrimination and sexual harassment.
  • Filing and processing of military and civilian discrimination and sexual harassment complaints. 
  • Advising commanders on the proper handling of discrimination and sexual harassment complaints. 
  • Assisting supervisors and members with resolving workplace issues.
Special Emphasis Program
The purpose of the Nebraska National Guard’s Special Emphasis Program is to celebrate diversity by educating our service members and employees about the many different cultures that make up our force. The SEP Group coordinates guest speakers, presentations, and cultural education activities for our organization as well as conducts community outreach activities.
