DEERS registration is required for TRICARE eligibility and enrollment. Incorrect information in the DEERS database can cause problems with TRICARE claims as well as other health care benefits, so it is critical to maintain your DEERS information.


Current service members, retirees and dependents with the required documents may receive identification cards in order to access various benefits and privileges. At these location, uniformed service members can have information updated or changed on the Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System (DEERS).

PROOF OF IDENTITY IS MANDATORY
During identity proofing, the applicant shall be required to provide two forms of identity source documents in original form. The identity source documents shall be bound to that applicant and shall be neither expired nor cancelled.
