The Child and Youth Program (CYP) is available for school-age eligible dependents of ARNG and ANG service members and offers a range of positive activities designed to promote resiliency, healthy development, and to ease transition to adulthood. When possible, programs may be established for parents to participate with their children who are under school age (0 to 5).

The mission of the Nebraska National Guard Child and Youth Program is to promote and sustain the quality of life and resilience of National Guard children and youth by providing secure, timely, flexible, high-quality support services and enrichment programs.
My name is Kristyn Frei and I am the Lead Child and Youth Program Coordinator with Cognitive Professional Services, contractor with the Nebraska National Guard. I have worked in the Child and Youth office for a year and a half and have loved every minute of it.I studied child, youth and family studies and graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. My husband served for six years with the Nebraska National Guard and is a veteran. Being a part of this program has opened my eyes about what it means to be a military kid.
My name is Luther Mardock and I am the Lead Child & Youth Coordinator. After 3 years in the classroom as a 7th-grade Language Arts teacher at Norris Middle School, I'm thrilled to get back into youth development. In addition to teaching and some corporate work, I've work as a camp director and program specialist for the Girls Scouts and in child protection for the State of Nebraska.I'm dedicated to continuing the growth and expansion of this the Child & Youth Program and coming up with new creative ways to serve our Soldiers and familes.
